1. Data Collection
Shzapp is designed to be privacy-first. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers.
What stays on your device:
- Scan History: Products you scan are stored locally
- Saved Prices: Prices you enter are stored locally
- Cart Items: Your current shopping cart
- App Settings: Your preferences (notifications, sound, etc.)
2. Camera Access
Shzapp requires camera access for one purpose only: to scan barcodes. We never take photos, store images, or upload anything from your camera.
3. Third-Party Services
We use Open Food Facts to look up product information. Only the barcode number is sent to their API. No personal information is included, and they do not track you.
4. Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. If you uninstall the app, all data is permanently removed.
